The WE-30 grain extruder from Peletto, processes grain into a mass shaped into small sticks or flakes. This method of processing grains deactivates anti-nutritional substances and compounds in legumes.

High temperatures to which the feed is subjected help disinfect animal food, killing harmful microflora, fungi and various types of pathogenic bacteria, which are most harmful to young animals and chicks.

The finished product is perfect for transport and storage because it does not delaminate or crumble.

The working part of the feed extruder consists of two chambers:

in the first loading chamber, the raw material is ground, then subjected to high pressure and heat treatment at a temperature of 160 to 180 degrees Celsius. The next step is to pass the raw material through the holes of the extruder, where, as a result of the forces acting (i.e. a sudden drop in pressure), the raw material "explodes". This results in foaming of the grain, which increases its volume several times.
